Faculties and undergraduate students of CLSO-SZU have made great achievements in the Fifth National College Students' life science innovation and entrepreneurship competition

The Fifth National College Students' life science innovation and entrepreneurship competition is sponsored by the Teaching Guidance Committee of biotechnology and bioengineering of the Higher Education Division of Ministry of Education, the Teaching Guidance Committee of food science and engineering of the Higher Education Division of Ministry of Education, the joint conference of national experimental teaching demonstration centers of Higher Education, and the editorial office of Biology Teaching in University. It is jointly organized by Guizhou Normal University, Guizhou Provincial Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and organized and implemented by the Organizing Committee of the National College Students' life science innovation and entrepreneurship competition. This competition aims to promote the development of innovation and entrepreneurship education for undergraduate students, and focuses on cultivating students' innovation consciousness, team spirit and practical ability. It is one of the highest level competitions in the field of life science in China.
The competition was launched in September 2019 and lasted for around one year, covering 302 universities, 3687 teams and more than 14000 students. On August 23, 2020, the "cloud" defense of the open final of the Fifth National College Students' life science innovation and entrepreneurship competition was held in Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fudan University, Jilin University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Guizhou Normal University and Lanzhou University.
The faculties and students of the College of Life Sciences and Oceanography of Shenzhen University (CLSO-SZU) have made great achievements in this competition, and have won three 1st prizes, three 2nd prizes, and one 3rd prize of national innovation (see the table below for details).
